Why I Decided to Blog About the 50 States

I am currently taking an online class and I am being instructed to set up a blog site as one of my assignments. I decided to blog about fun places to visit, historical monuments you don't want to miss, and great places to eat as you travel throughout the beautiful 50 states of America! Why have I decided to blog about this??? Well my answer to that is twofold. First, I have finished raising my three beautiful children and now have the time and money to travel. Secondly, I got the best advice from one of my nephews. He told me that his parents made a pack early on in their marriage to visit all 50 states by their 50th wedding anniversary. When I heard this....I thought what a wonderful idea! So, I have decided to also do that and I have only twenty years left to accomplish this goal. My husband and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary this past July on a two week cruise and land adventure in the wilderness of Alaska! So, I will be blogging shortly on some of the fun things you don't want to miss in Alaska! So far I have been to twenty of the states. Outside the continental United States, I have visited Hawaii on three different occasions and Alaska once. Because I am the daughter of a retired Army pilot, I have lived in five different states and abroad in Germany and Thailand. So, travel is not new to me! I must say that I look forward to doing this blog. I hope it will be fun and informative and a great resource for me, as well as others! I plan to blog about all fifty states....the ones that I have already visited and I will blog about the states I plan to visit in the future. I welcome suggestions from others on interesting and exciting places to go in this great country of ours! Also, I encourage those who are reading this blog to join me in "50 by 50". Either plan to visit all 50 states by your 50th anniversary or by 50 years of your adult life! I believe you wont regret it! The adventure awaits....
